I received my Bachelor's degree from Duke University and my MSW and PhD from the University of California, Berkeley, School of Social Welfare, where I did research on the mental health impacts of trauma.
I also engaged in three years of intensive advanced post graduate clinical training in Psychodynamic Psychotherapy at The Psychotherapy Institute (TPI) in Berkeley, California.
I have lived in several distinctly different parts of the United States, as well as spending significant time abroad in both Europe and Asia. The experiences within these varied cultural contexts has enriched and expanded my perspective.
I love living in Northern California with our Mediterranean climate and so much access to spectacular nature - the coast, the redwoods, and the mountains. Hiking, yoga, reading, gardening, and cooking with and for family and friends are some of my most beloved ways to spend time.
